He again, blushed before grinning sheepishly. Bowing his head in shame, Naruto wiggled his toes in the water, feeling the movement of loose coins beneath his feet. “Um, Ino…” He said, looking back up at her. He hoped that his face displayed all the sincerity that his heart was feeling at the moment. “You’re beautiful, and funny… and amazing, not to mention really kick-ass at fighting…” Naruto trailed off again, before sucking in a deep breath. This was it, wasn’t it? There wasn’t any turning back now, he was this far in. “I… I really like you, okay?”
Ino just.. Blinked at him. Naruto Uzumaki had never said so much of anything like that to her in all the years they had been friends. She found herself smiling as wide as she could have possibly smiled, and took a step forward to do the only thing her mind could think of in that little moment in time. And that, was to hug his middle as tight as she could. She pulled back after a bit, then looked up and smiled at him. “Well, Naruto Uzumaki, what do you plan on doing about that.?”
“I, well…” His face was still flaming red with his blush and his hands were fidgeting at his side. What was he supposed to do? He never really did have any experience with this kind of stuff. But, if the movies he watched in his spare time where any help, he supposed he could ask her out and treat her to the most romantic date she’d ever been on — not that Naruto knew how to be romantic. He didn’t know how. But, for her… well, he’d give it a shot. Still blushing, Naruto coughed slightly. “Uh, Ino.. Would you, uh.. Wouldyouliketogoonadatewithme—?” He let out in a rush.

“Baka, you know she’s going to kill you right?” Kiba chuckled, “Wait till her dad and teammates finds. Get me tickets, will you.” Kiba crossed his arms (IT’S FINE I SHIP MY OWN CRACK KIBAKARUI…WHICH CAUSES PROBLEMS WITH AMBER.)
“Yeah, yeah. I know!” Naruto pouted, crossing his arms. “Not funny, Kiba. I’d like to keep my balls intact, thanks. (( AH, YES. HER AND HER NEJIKARUI. ))
“Aw, come on.” He grinned. Naruto’s hand slid up, brushing a piece of hair that had fallen out of place away from her eyes. “I’m not that mean, I wouldn’t do that to you…” He trailed off, a small smile still in place on his lips. His heart began to hammer in his chest, and his eyes flickered from her blue eyes to her lips and back again. He sucked in a quick breath before closing the distance between them, pressing his lips to hers.
“Wouldn’t do that to me.? Please, Naruto how about we reflect back on the many times you’ve ran around the village with me on your shoulder. Tossing me in the pond wouldn’t be much..” She trailed off, her curiosity peaking. Did.. Did he just brush her hair away.? Ok, gentle and very un-Naruto like. And she would have protested about that, had he not- Kissed her.? Ino’s eyes widened for a moment, then she found herself closing them and actually kissing him back. It didn’t last too long, since she then placed a hand to his chest and pulled back. “Ok- Ok no, I wouldn’t expect you to do that to me. Why did you- did you kiss me.?”

“Er, heh…” Naruto let out a shaky laugh, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. “I kind of kissed Ino?”

“I need to what—” Her eyes widened when he held her up, and she just knew that he was going to throw her in. Oh no, there was no way she was getting soaked. Especially her hair- It took long enough to dry. “Naruto- Naruto you will not drop me- Let me go, Naruto, seriously.!”
He sighed, pulling her up and dropping her to her feet. The water splashed up their legs. “I was kidding!”
“Kidding- Oh you have better be kidding.” She pouted, her arms moving to cross beneath her chest. She shifted her weight more on her right leg, and she looked up to him curiously through the pout. “Meanie.”
